  Draft 2026-27 Internal Audit and Investigations Plan

  

  Report of the Executive Director Corporate Services

   

  The report seeks approval for the Annual Internal Audit and Investigations Plan for 2026-27.

   

  In line with Committee’s Terms of Reference, the report asks Committee to approve the risk-based internal audit plan, including internal audit’s resource requirements (and any significant changes to either), the approach to using other sources of assurance and any work required to place reliance upon those other sources.

  This report provides an update on the action being taken to mitigate key principal risks and presents the Council’s position as at February 2026. In line with Audit and Corporate Governance Committee’s (ACGC) Terms of Reference, the purpose of the report is to enable the Committee to monitor the effective development and operation of risk management in the Council.

  Camden Living Financial Statements 2024/25

  

  Report of the Director of Finance

   

  This report briefs the Committee for its information on the audited financial statements for Camden Living Limited (CL) which have been registered at Companies House.

   

  This report demonstrates that the company continues to trade viably in line with company law requirements and highlights key points of Camden Living Limited (CL) financial position and performance for the 12-month period to 31st March 2025.

  Minor Constitutional Changes to be included in the Annual Report to May Council

  

  Report of the Borough Solicitor

   

  At every annual meeting of the Council, the Borough Solicitor submits a report to Council that seeks to: 

   

  • Establish the committees for the next municipal year 

  • Appoint members to them 

  • Confirm the terms of the Constitution and delegations to officers 

   

  The opportunity is also taken to make some minor updates to the Constitution.  As the annual Council meeting is primarily ceremonial, it is important as far as possible that discussion at the meeting does not become overly political or the subject to any serious debate. To that end, any changes proposed at this meeting are designed to be nothing more than a tidying up and clarification. They do not therefore seek to make any significant changes in decision making or impact the rights and duties of Members.

  Accounting Policies for the 2025/26 Statement of Accounts and Update on Financial Reporting

  

  Report of the Director of Finance

   

  Annually, the Council reviews the accounting policies that will be applied to its financial statements against the relevant legislative framework and guidance to ensure that the policies remain appropriate. The Audit and Corporate Governance Committee is asked to approve the accounting policies for preparing the 2025/26 statement of accounts.

   

  In addition, this report presents an update on the reporting of the 2024/25 accounts.
