  This report outlines Camden’s Reward Strategy, and an update is given on:

   

  -          how the Council is responding to stay competitive in the current challenging labour market and mitigate recruitment and retention risks

  -          politically restricted positions within the Council

  Review of Camden Pay and Reward Schemes

  

  Report of the Director of People and Inclusion

   

  This report seeks the Audit & Corporate Governance Committee’s approval for a proposed change to the Council’s My Reward Scheme, removing the 1% payment option and moving to a single 2% reward. The change is part of the Council’s wider Pay and Performance Review – Phase Two, which aims to ensure Camden’s pay and reward framework remains equitable, transparent, and sustainable in the current economic and labour market context.

   

  The proposal is intended to improve equity, simplicity, and budget consistency in how performance-related recognition is applied across the organisation while maintaining flexibility for managers to recognise exceptional contributions.

  This report details a review of the Council’s complaints policy and procedure last amended in 2023 to again align them with the amended Housing Ombudsman’s Complaint Handling Code. In addition, the committee is asked to approve the District Management Complaint procedure which must align with that of the Council.
