Webcasting of the Meeting

The Chair to announce the following: “In addition to the rights by law that the public and press have to record and film public meetings, I would like to remind everyone present that this meeting will be broadcast live by the Council to the Internet and can be viewed on our website for six months after the meeting. After that time, webcasts are archived and can be made available on DVD upon request.

If you are seated in the room it is likely that the Council’s cameras will capture your image and you are deemed to be consenting to being filmed and to the use of those images and sound recordings for webcasting and/or training purposes.”

This report provides an update on works and investment carried out by Thames Water in Camden as well as progress on the issues raised at the last Scrutiny meeting the organisations representative attended in February 2025.

Camden Libraries Strategy 2026-2031
Report of the Director of Recreation and Public Safety.

The Libraries in Camden provide a vital neighbourhood service to residents, that aligns with We Make Camden and the Camden Missions. An ambitious five-year Libraries Strategy (2026-31) has been drafted collaboratively with residents, the library team, other Council teams, and partner organisations. Five key themes have emerged that will help build on the already well respected and high performing service.

Street Trading and Market Strategy 2026-2031
Report of the Cabinet Member for Homes and Community Investment.

This report presents Camden’s Street Trading and Markets Strategy, setting out our vision for the development of markets and trading sites to 2031. It outlines strategic approaches to supporting self-employment and inclusive growth, while ensuring the Council meets its sustainability goals, and ensuring markets remain spaces where residents and visitors spend time and meet. It also highlights the infrastructure needed to facilitate the trading activity.

The report is going to Cabinet for approval and adoption by the Council.
