  Webcasting of the Meeting

   

  The Chair to announce the following: “In addition to the rights by law that the public and press have to record and film public meetings, I would like to remind everyone present that this meeting will be broadcast live by the Council to the Internet and can be viewed on our website for six months after the meeting.  After that time, webcasts are archived and can be made available on DVD upon request.

  Call-in St Margaret's School and St Luke's Church of England School Healthy Street Scheme

  

  Report of the Director of Environment and Sustainability.

   

  On 30 May 2025 the Cabinet Member for Planning and a Sustainable Camden decided to implement a trial Healthy School Street timed motor vehicle restrictions on Kidderpore Avenue, Kidderpore Gardens, Ferncroft Avenue and Hollycroft Avenue, under an 18 months Experimental Traffic Order (ETO), in the vicinity of St Luke’s and St Margaret’s school together with publishing a notice of permanent Safe & Healthy Streets measures. 

   

  On 5 June 2025 Councillors Steve Adams, Andrew Parkinson, Stephen Stark and Shiva Tiwari ‘called in’ the decision. The decision has not been implemented to allow consideration of the call-in.

   

  The report sets out the grounds for the call-in and officers’ advice to the Committee.

  BBQs in Waterlow Park and Petition to ban BBQ

  

  Report of the Director of Recreation.

   

  The report provides a response to the petition ‘Ban BBQs in Waterlow Park’, which was launched by the Highgate Village Green Preservation Society on the petition platform Change.org.

  
  The report outlines the context of decision making on BBQ use to date.

  Report of the Cabinet Adviser on Low Carbon Environments.

   

   

  The report contains the findings and recommendations of Councillor Anna Burrage in her role as Cabinet Adviser on Low Carbon Environments.

  Update on the Plant Based Councils movement

  

  Report of the Director of Environment and Sustainability.

   

  The report updates the Committee on the progress being made towards improving the sustainability of the food provided to staff by Camden Council. It also outlines how the Camden Food Mission is providing a platform to improve the sustainability and nutritional quality of the food provided by Camden Council through decreasing meat consumption and increasing the number of plants eaten.

  Report of the Executive Directors of Adults and Health, Children and Learning, Supporting Communities and Corporate Services 

   

  This report focusses on the year 2024-25 using a broad range of measures from each directorate and division across the organisation. In this report, Camden Directors have been asked to provide a narrative covering key areas of challenge, opportunity, and learning.

   

  The report is divided into three main sections:

   

  • A summary table which highlights key responses from services for the year 2024/25 across each of the Council’s four Directorates.

  • A more detailed narrative of the individual service responses

  • Appendix A contains the data dashboard.
